Geoff & Chris left 20 years of service sector management in the U.K. “We wanted a complete change, we both enjoy meeting new people and knew being B&B hosts would be perfect for us.”

A cheerful welcome awaits you. Our home is roomy and comfortable and we enjoy giving the individual attention you do not find elsewhere. Step out of your comfort zone and into a Bed and Breakfast you will rave about to all your friends.

We believe we are imaginative and turn the hospitality trade on its head. The ’88 Lodge Cocktail” was invented by us for that special welcome. Perhaps you would prefer one of Chris’s chocolate drinks, pure indulgence. Or maybe just a good old cuppa after your journey. The kettle is always on.

The gardens are stunning and surround the swimming pool. Our Queen Palm Suite has it’s own private beautifully secluded spa pool which overlooks the gardens. You will go a long way before you find such indulgences elsewhere around.

Chris is passionate about the gardens and loves nothing more than joining our guests on a stroll through the woods and lawns, the orchards and hidden away places pointing out the amazing flora and fauna which makes 88 Lodge so unique.

Breakfasts are designed with you in mind. No breakfast menu here or worse, the dreaded tray left out overnight. We use the freshest most local produce available to make the breakfast you would prefer. From full English to a bowl of cereal, fresh fruit salad and home made yoghurts to something on toast. Home made breads and croissants to porridge. You choose. We will make a breakfast to remember, setting you up for your day exploring our wonderful slice of this world.

Neither of us have jobs taking us away from the lodge, we are both on hand and enjoy having our guests around. Kerikeri has a wonderful selection of restaurants for your evening meals and afterwards why not challenge us to create an evening’s entertainment. We know you will have a great time. When tired you can sleep in our wonderfully large and comfortable beds awakening to the birdsong in our beautiful gardens. We love to make sure you get the very best out of your day. From tours to individually tailored trips, nothing is too much for us. Hospitality and service comes at no extra charge.
